THE EARLSDON COTTAGE IS RELAUNCHED LONDON STYLE!

Ambitious father and son business duo Steve and Ian Carvell have promised that ‘London will come to Coventry’ with their £1 million facelift of the Earlsdon Cottage.

A Champagne and Piano Bar is just one of the Capital style features that has created the ‘London look’ at the ‘Cottage’. But the Carvells are quick to stress that their local customers – so
loyal to the Earlsdon Cottage over many decades – will not be left out. In fact a new ‘Snug’ with traditional keg/real ale beers will ensure that the local community is well catered for.

Concept

Steve and Ian spent several months researching the London restaurant and wine-bar scene and believe they have created a quality concept at the Earlsdon Cottage ‘to match many of the top restaurants and wine bars’ in the West End and key City areas of London. Steve commented: “Coventry is in desperate need of up market restaurants and wine bars. South Warwickshire, however, is well served with a number of newly launched gastro
restaurants and pubs.

“However, the new Earlsdon Cottage will not be going down the ‘gastro’ route. We will build our reputation on the foundation of ‘Fine Dining and Fine Wines’…

“Coventry has never had anything like it… we will be setting the standards for miles around,” he said.

Designer

The new Cottage Wine Bar opened its doors in early December 2006. The main wine bar facility can accommodate up to 450 people and the designer conservatory, which can also be used for business meetings and private hire, can comfortably take 150 patrons. A special feature, unique to the Coventry area, will be the extendable ‘jumbrellas’ which can be joined at the touch of a button to create a huge cover in the landscaped garden area. This create's a heated outdoor area that can be used all year round.

Our claim that ‘London is coming to Coventry’ is no idle boast. We have done our homework and our customers will make their judgement. Our objective is to create the number one wine and dining experience in the Coventry area.” Steve Carvell added: “The new Earlsdon Cottage will be a unique social venue catering for all. We have designed the new Cottage to be a total complex meeting the needs of local businessmen, the 20-30 year old weekend trade and of course the local customer who looks forward to his nightly pint! And we can assure everybody that the Cottage will continue to pull the best pint of beer in the city!” The Carvells, recently appointed Associate Directors of Coventry City FC, are also hoping to attract Sky Blues fans and players alike.

Ian Carvell said: “Earlsdon is fast becoming the social and entertainment centre of Coventry, as people move away from the city centre. The Earlsdon Cottage will become the focal point of entertainment providing fine dining, fine wines and the best music to be found for miles around.”
